Automatic conversion of special image, sound and property file (.plist) formats.
View images, text and property files and play sounds and movies. (No built-in editing, except sounds.) The Image Browser helps to quickly find images on the device.

You can copy files to the Custom (official) list or (if jailbroken) to the Standard (built-in) list of ringtones. The innovative Sound Editor lets you crop sound files, set fade-in and fade-out and adjust the volume.
The Bit Pit (Storage) (Jailbreak not required)
Copy your own files to and from a folder on the device - use it as a USB Storage Device!
Copy screenshots to disk.
Add your own wallpaper images.
Convert text files into images and copy them as (very rudimentary) e-books to the device.
Jailbreak (Unshackle)
The iPhone Dev Team's jailbreaking tools are provided for your convenience.

Convenience Level
Home screen layout, built-in file editing and much more!

Home Screen Layout
Easily create WinterBoard themes for Home Screen background images. Use drag and drop to compose a panorama of up to 9 (firmware 3.0: 11) pages - each can have its own background and dock image. Add a movie or a slideshow; edit the wallpaper, dock and status bar images.
Change application icons one by one, or apply an image editor setting to all icons at once!
Create Image Editor Settings - 'recipes' that can be applied to different images - a great way to keep your themes current after adding new apps.

Re-arrange the layout of applications and add placeholders to allow gaps and empty pages.
Switch between display order layouts from within iFuntastic, or with your own applications created on the 'Jack the Scripter' page.

Of all the cool stuff that is available when you jailbreak your iPhone, your desktop computer Home screen layout software is the coolest. I absolutely love how easy it is to layout my iPhone right from my computer. I can't believe Apple doesn't have this built in. John - Buffalo, NY
File Manager
Search inside text and settings files. Built-in Text, Property and Image file editors.
List the contents of your iTunes library by artist and title (.m4a and .mp3 formats) and copy any or all songs and movies off your device. Recover and restore files from your last iTunes backup. Change file and folder permissions and create and edit file sets.
Jack the Clipper
Create and edit web clips. Change the icon, name and/or web address.
Create your own speed dialer clips - simply enter a phone number.
Take a list of movie, sound, text, HTML and/or PDF files, and have iFuntastic create a web page with links to those files on your device. Tap a link and let Safari display the file. You can put your own custom website onto your device and browse it without internet connection.
Great for presentations!
The Bit Pit (Storage)
Copy Notes and SMS messages from the device's databases to disk.
Add your own text files to the notes database.
Copy voicemails to disk - convert them to .aif format and add them to your iTunes library.
Carrier Logos
Change your carrier (or 'iPod') logo to an image of your liking or to a short piece of text.
Voicemail Greeting
Change your voicemail greeting to any sound file (iPhone only.)
SSH Helper
Change your SSH password, set an empty password and connect with one click.

Create your own WinterBoard Themes!

WinterBoard Themes
Create your own WinterBoard themes with a template based, fill-in-the-blanks approach.
Change text and settings, images and sound. Create a slideshow on your home screen, or play a movie. Create your own groups of files to modify by creating templates from file sets.
Copy UI Images to disk and add them to the image browser. These are the graphics that are used for the UI. They are stored in a .artwork format archive and are not directly accessible.
Delete and re-arrange themes.
Copy themes from the device for modification or to make mash ups.

Create a special Graphinder™ theme that watermarks most graphics on your device. Take a screenshot, mouse over the image, and iFuntastic will tell you the file path of the image, or click to edit - it couldn't be easier.

Screenshots
Import your screenshots with a click. Take screenshots from within iFuntastic.
Repo Man
Made some really cool WinterBoard themes? Share them with your friends and family or the world: create your own Cydia repository ("Source".) Requires a web server (your Mac is probably ready to be used as one.)
E-mail Signatures
Spruce up the old 'Sent from my iPhone'. Add images, color and web links to your signature.
Switch between signatures from within iFuntastic, or with your own applications created on the 'Jack the Scripter' page.

Create your own applications!

Jack the Scripter
Create applications to run your own shell scripts.
Prepared scripts let you:
  • toggle individual WinterBoard themes on or off
  • switch between e-mail signatures created on the E-mail Signatures page
  • switch between display orders created on the Home Screen Layout page
  • speed dial phone numbers without confirmation message (not available for firmware 3.0)
  • open web sites (not available for firmware 3.0)
/dev/101 (SDK required - can be downloaded from Apple for free)
(not available for firmware 3.0)
Create your own custom apps and/or command line tools.
Set up the toolchain to develop 'real' applications directly on your device. No need for the simulator, Xcode or to become a registered developer (eventually you will need to become one, but why not first see if iPhone development is for you?)
